Step-by-step instructions to give Brick & Beacon permission to manage your Facebook and Instagram content. Your accounts stay yours.

No passwords to shareYou keep ownershipHelp at every step

Before you begin.

Use a computer and your own login.

Have the Facebook login you use to manage the business ready. Enter passwords and security codes only on Meta’s own sign-in screens.

Have the right owner access.

The main guide is for someone with full control of the business portfolio that owns the accounts. A portfolio is Meta’s workspace for your business accounts.

Keep our Business ID handy.

You’ll need the Business Portfolio ID supplied by Brick & Beacon. Ask us for the ID if you don’t have it yet.

Already received an access request from us? Use the shorter approval instructions instead. You only need to use one method. Only have a standalone Facebook Page, or not sure who owns the portfolio? See your setup options.

Add Brick & Beacon as your partner

Follow these steps in order.

Share only the Facebook Page and Instagram account covered by your service. Menu labels can vary slightly between Meta accounts.

  1. Step 1. Open Meta Business Suite.

On a computer, open Meta Business Suite and sign in using your own Facebook account. From the business selector, choose the business that owns your Facebook Page.

    Open Meta Business Suite

Meta opens in a new tab, so you can keep these instructions open. You need full control of the owning business portfolio to use this partner-sharing method—not just permission to post.

  2. Step 2. Go to your partner settings.

Click Settings, usually near the bottom of the left menu. Under Users, click Partners.

    SettingsUsersPartners

Some layouts show Partners directly, or a More business settings option first. No Partners option? Check that you selected the correct business; otherwise ask the person with full control to complete this guide.

  3. Step 3. Choose to give a partner access.

Click Add, then select Give a partner access to your assets (sometimes labeled “business assets”).

AddGive a partner access to your assets

Choose the option to give access, not request access to someone else’s accounts. If Brick & Beacon is already listed, select our existing partner entry and use the asset-sharing option instead of adding us again.

  4. Step 4. Enter Brick & Beacon’s Business ID.

Paste the Business Portfolio ID supplied by your Brick & Beacon contact into the Partner business ID field, then click Next.

Brick & Beacon Marketing · Partner Business ID

Use the ID in your welcome email. Need our ID? Request it by email.

Use our Business Portfolio ID—not your business ID, a Page ID, an ad-account ID, or an email address. Confirm the identity with your agency contact before continuing if anything looks unfamiliar.

  5. Step 5. Select your Facebook Page.

In the asset list, choose Pages, then select the exact Facebook Page we will manage. Choose partial access where offered and enable the posting and reporting permissions below.

    ContentInsights

Content lets us create and manage posts, including editing or deleting content. Insights lets us review performance. Add comments/community or messages permissions only when those services are included in your agreement.

Do not choose “Advertiser” access alone. Ads permissions are not the content permissions needed for regular posting.

  6. Step 6. Select your Instagram account too.

In the same asset-selection process, choose Instagram accounts and select your business’s correct username. Enable Content and Insights, or the equivalent publishing and reporting options shown.

Instagram accountsYour business usernameContent + Insights

For this setup, your Instagram professional account should be connected to the correct Facebook Page and available in the owning business portfolio. Check Instagram separately; sharing your Page alone is not a confirmation that Instagram is ready.

Instagram not listed? Open the connection steps below. If your service covers Facebook only, skip this step. If Meta only offers broader permissions, check with us before approving them.

  7. Step 7. Save your choices and review both accounts.

Click Assign assets or Save changes, depending on the screen. Complete any security confirmation inside Meta. If another administrator’s approval is required, ask them to approve it.

Return to Partners, select Brick & Beacon, and review the assets shared with us. Confirm that your Facebook Page and Instagram account are both included with the agreed permissions.

Keep ownership and your own full-control access. Do not grant ad-account access, billing access, or business-wide full control for this posting-only setup. Never email us your password or verification codes.

  8. Step 8. Tell us you are finished.

Send us a quick confirmation using the button below. Include your business name, Facebook Page link, and Instagram username so we can check the right accounts.

I’ve shared access — please check

This opens an email for you to review and send; it does not send automatically or verify access. We’ll confirm both accounts and the publishing setup before following your approved content plan.

Use this instead if we sent a request

Already have an access request?

Follow these four steps rather than adding us manually. Your Brick & Beacon contact should confirm when the request is ready.

Open Meta Business Suite
  1. Step 1. Open your business settings.

Sign in to Meta Business Suite with your own Facebook login. Select the business that owns your accounts, then open Settings.

  2. Step 2. Find our incoming request.

Open Requests, then look under Received or Other requests if those tabs appear. Open the request your Brick & Beacon contact told you to expect.

  3. Step 3. Review the identity, accounts, and permissions.

Match the requesting business and ID to the details supplied by your agency contact. Check your Facebook Page and Instagram account, and review Content and Insights access. If the request only covers Facebook, ask us to arrange Instagram access separately.

  4. Step 4. Approve, then let us verify.

Choose Approve or Confirm and complete any prompts inside Meta. Repeat for a separate Instagram request if one was sent. Then send us your confirmation email.

No request visible? Confirm that we sent it and that you selected the correct business. A Page-specific request may appear in your Facebook Page’s access settings instead.

Only if you need it

A little help
getting connected.

These extra instructions cover the common places owners get stuck. No need to work through them if your access is already shared.

Help me connect
My Instagram account is not listed.

First check the connection to your Facebook Page. Adding Instagram to a portfolio and linking it to a Page are separate checks.

  1. On Facebook, click your profile photo, choose See all profiles, and switch into your business Page.
  2. Open the Page’s Settings & privacy → Settings → Linked accounts → Instagram. Confirm that the correct Instagram username is connected.
  3. If no account is connected, choose Connect account and follow Meta’s prompts. Sign in to your own Instagram account on Meta’s screen. For this setup, use a professional account. If asked to change a personal account to professional, review the privacy implications first; professional accounts are public.
  4. Return to Meta Business Suite → Settings → Accounts → Instagram accounts. If your business-owned account is missing, use Add and complete the owner authentication. If your layout lists Business assets instead, check for Instagram there.
  5. Return to Partners, select Brick & Beacon, and use the asset-sharing option to add the Instagram account with the agreed publishing and reporting permissions. Then ask us to verify the connection.

If the account is owned by a different portfolio, the wrong Page is linked, or Meta shows a restriction or “review connection” message, contact us before changing anything. Do not disconnect, transfer ownership, or create a duplicate account to work around the problem.

How do I approve a request from my Facebook Page?

Use this only when we have sent a Page-specific access request and told you to expect it.

  1. Log in to Facebook. Click your profile photo, select See all profiles, and switch into your business Page.
  2. Click the Page’s profile photo, then Settings & privacy → Settings → Page setup → Page access.
  3. Find the pending partner request and choose Review request (or the review option shown).
  4. Check the requesting business and ID against our welcome email. Review the Page and the permissions requested.
  5. Choose Next and Confirm or Approve, as shown. Enter any required password or verification code only inside Meta.
  6. Email us when finished. This confirms your Facebook approval only; we will check Instagram separately.

If the request is absent, check the owning business’s Settings → Requests or ask us to confirm where it was sent.

I only have a Facebook Page, or I don’t have full control.

You do not need to create a duplicate Page or an advertising account. Tell us how your Page is set up and we’ll identify the right route.

If a business portfolio owns your Page: forward this guide to the person with full control of that portfolio. Page posting access alone is not enough to share the business’s assets with an agency.

If your Page is managed directly on Facebook: we may use individual task access instead. Once we have supplied the exact staff identity to invite, the person with Facebook access and full control of the Page can:

  1. Switch into the business Page and open Settings & privacy → Settings → Page setup → Page access.
  2. Under People with task access, choose Add New. Continue and search for the exact person we have confirmed. Do not guess a staff profile or assume a general company email identifies it.
  3. Select Content and Insights, with community/messages only when agreed. Choose Give access and complete Facebook’s confirmation.
  4. Let us know so our staff member can accept and we can test the setup. Instagram needs its own access check.

If those options are unavailable, stop and contact us rather than granting broader access.

What if I can only see Ads or full-control options?

Pause and check with us. For regular posting, we need content permissions—not advertiser access alone. We are not asking for your ad account, billing access, or full control of your business portfolio.

Permissions can differ by account and publishing tool. A separate tool connection may need an owner’s authorization or different asset-level permissions. We’ll explain the purpose and scope before asking for any additional access.

Send us the step number and a screenshot with sensitive details hidden. Never include passwords, login codes, or unrelated personal information.

Will I still own and control my accounts?

Yes. This guide asks you to share selected permissions, not transfer ownership. Keep your own administrator access and control.

A person with full control can review or remove the agency’s partner access in the owning business’s Settings → Partners. If we also connected a publishing tool, we’ll help remove that separate authorization during offboarding. Removing access can interrupt scheduled publishing.

Where can I check Meta’s own instructions?

Meta changes menus and permission labels. These official help pages provide additional guidance; some require you to sign in.

If your screen does not match the guide, ask us before changing permissions or ownership.

Your business. Your accounts.
One less thing to manage.

Once access is verified, we’ll handle the publishing setup and follow your approved content plan. Granting access does not automatically publish a post.
