A practical production guide for Connected TV, online video, display, streaming audio, and digital out-of-home campaigns.

Big-screen video

Connected TV

Prepare a broadcast-quality master. The final bitrate and delivery method depend on the publisher, DSP, and inventory source selected for the campaign.

Duration

15 or 30 seconds
Runtime must be exact.

Video Master

MP4 · H.264
1920 × 1080, 16:9, progressive scan.

Video Bitrate

Supply a high-quality master. The final accepted range is confirmed for the selected media environment.

Audio

AAC stereo
48 kHz sample rate; 192 kbps or greater preferred.

File Size

Up to 250 MB. Efficiently compressed files are preferred when image quality is preserved.

Delivery

Uploaded video file or VAST tag, according to campaign setup and inventory requirements.

Important: VAST is an ad-delivery tag—not a video file format. Brick & Beacon will confirm whether a hosted file or VAST tag is required.

Digital video

Online Video

Use high-resolution source material and keep essential text, logos, and calls to action within a safe viewing area.

Preferred Format

MP4 · H.264
MOV or WEBM may be accepted when the platform supports them.

File Size

Maximum 200 MB.

Video Bitrate

2,500 kbps minimum, with higher-quality masters preferred.

16:9

Widescreen

1920 × 1080 preferred
640 × 360 minimum.

4:3

Standard

640 × 480 preferred
480 × 360 minimum.

Audio

AAC or MP3; 44.1 or 48 kHz. Avoid clipping and excessive compression.

Responsive reach

Display Ads

Supply a coordinated set of common banner sizes so the campaign can reach audiences across desktop, tablet, and mobile placements.

File Format

JPEG, PNG, or GIF
Third-party ad tags may be accepted with prior approval.

File Weight

150 KB or smaller per static or animated asset unless otherwise confirmed.

Animation

Keep animation concise—generally 15 seconds or less. Looping rules vary by publisher.

Streaming Audio

Deliver clean, professionally mixed audio with an exact runtime and enough headroom to avoid distortion after platform processing.

Exact runtime required.

File Format

MP3, M4A, or WAV
Uncompressed master preferred when available.

Bitrate

160 kbps minimum
Higher-quality masters may be requested.

Production tip: Include a clear brand mention and call to action. Music and voice-over rights must be cleared before submission.
